He said that this Shilin Entrepreneur Conference is not only an opportunity to attract investment, but also a good platform to showcase a real and safe Cambodia, breaking the one-sided impression obtained by the outside world through the media.

Prime Minister Hun Manet also introduced Cambodia's investment policies and its superior investment environment, stating that the Cambodian government is willing to work together with investors to build an effective investment attraction and support mechanism to provide high flexibility, reduce risks, and help investors gain greater benefits in the present and future.

Hun Manet pointed out that Cambodia has always adhered to the principle of peace and mutual assistance, and there is no conflict of interest with any country. In recent years, Cambodia has maintained comprehensive peace, stable economic growth, and demonstrated its ability to resist crises. Despite the impact of the pandemic, Cambodia achieved 5% economic growth last year and is expected to reach 6% economic growth in 2024.

He said that based on the strong socio-economic foundation laid by the previous government, the seventh Cambodian government launched the first phase of the "Five Corners Strategy" aimed at protecting and maintaining the hard won peace, accelerating national development, and realizing the vision of a high-income country by 2050. At the same time, he also mentioned Cambodia's newly introduced Investment Law, which promotes and enhances effective investment by identifying priority areas and better incentivizing investors. In addition, the Cambodian government is establishing mechanisms in both the public and private sectors to listen to the challenges of investors and business people, and to introduce corresponding solutions to promote the improvement of the investment environment.
