As a developing country, Cambodia attaches great importance to infrastructure construction in its economic development, with high-quality water supply being a key factor. For special zones, water source quality is closely related to employee health and enterprise production. The second phase of the special zone has built a reservoir with a capacity of 10 million cubic meters and a supporting water plant. The water source comes from high-quality natural water bodies in the local area, which have been treated with advanced purification technology. The water quality is excellent, rich in minerals, with a weak alkaline pH value and few impurities. This high-quality water source not only meets the daily drinking water needs of employees, but also provides strong support for enterprise production and promotes the development of the special economic zone.

There is a common sense that countries with low and zero tariffs on exported goods and low production costs often have improving infrastructure such as water supply, and sometimes there may be water shortages, which will pose an immeasurable threat to the lives and health of all employees in the special zone and the normal production of settled enterprises.

The second phase of the Zhejiang Special Economic Zone in Cambodia has placed high-quality water supply in a top priority, with 100 hectares of land designated and ultra-high standard planning. A reservoir with a storage capacity of 10 million square meters has been built, and a water supply plant covers an area of 5000 square meters with a design scale of 6 integrated modules. The daily supply of tap water is 30000 cubic meters, and it has been put into normal use by the end of November 2024. The sufficient, stable, and high-quality water supply can be fully guaranteed, providing strong guarantees for the production and life of the special zone.

High quality water sources are not ultimately detected, they are the result of the combined effects of natural environment and scientific management. In the construction process of the second phase of the Zhejiang Special Economic Zone in Cambodia's reservoir water plant, the first step was to firmly control the water intake. Through comprehensive exploration and water source testing of the park, the core location of the park was selected for the construction of the reservoir water plant. The unique natural conditions at the location of the reservoir water plant provide a foundation for the formation of high-quality water sources. At the same time, the special zone has also made great efforts in the protection and management of water resources at the water intake point, with strict monitoring and control measures to ensure the continuous excellent water quality in the front road.

High quality water sources are the lifeline of employees and enterprises. After the completion of the second phase of the water plant in the Zhejiang Special Economic Zone in Cambodia, international standards will be adopted for dynamic management of water quality throughout the process. Water quality testing will be carried out by a combination of daily, weekly, monthly, and sampling inspections by dedicated personnel, ensuring that every drop of water flowing out of the water plant meets the drinking standards of personnel and the production standards of enterprises.

Recently, the Zhejiang Special Economic Zone in Cambodia commissioned a third-party authoritative testing agency "ACTA BIO CO., LTD." to conduct comprehensive water quality testing on the reservoir and water treatment plant with a storage capacity of 10 million square meters in the second phase of the zone. The testing report issued by ACTA BIO shows that the water quality of the second phase reservoir and water treatment plant in the zone is far below the upper limit of drinking water standards in terms of common chemical substances, such as chloride, fluoride, and total dissolved solids. For example, the chloride content is only 33.3mg/L, far below the standard of 250mg/L; The fluoride content is 0.22mg/L, which is lower than the standard of 1.5mg/L. In terms of heavy metal indicators, substances such as arsenic, mercury, lead, and cadmium that pose potential hazards to human health were not detected. Microbial indicators are also reassuring. The total coliform group was not found, and the total plate count meets the requirements, which ensures the hygiene and safety of drinking water, effectively reduces the risk of employees getting sick due to drinking unclean water, and provides a solid guarantee for employees' physical health.

From the ACTA BIO report, we can clearly see that the water quality of the special zone performs extremely well in multiple key indicators. This water quality not only meets the high standards for drinking water, but also provides high-quality water sources for various production activities of enterprises.
